On the morning of December 3rd, the City of Alamo welcomed a brand new business. Goodwill Industries of South Texas, Inc. joined the list of booming businesses in the growing metropolis.
The company celebrated the grand opening of its seventh Goodwill store and donation station in the Rio Grande Valley. The Alamo Economic Development Corporation (EDC) approved a $135,000 incentive for utility infrastructure and sewer improvements in order to bring Goodwill to Alamo.
The new store is located at 1323 W. Frontage Rd. between H-E-B and Wal-Mart. It is open every day from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM except on Saturdays when hours are from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The 12,000+ square foot store provides shoppers with an assortment of donated and new goods to purchase at great prices. Products also include brand name items. The store’s drive-through donation station helps make donating more convenient, and accepted forms of donated goods include clothing, furniture and household items.
