It’s that time of year again when the Alamo Economic Development Corporation (EDC) hosts the “Small Business Incentives Workshop!” This workshop, scheduled on June 19th from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the EDC, aims to educate local business owners and company leaders on how the City of Alamo can help companies to relocate or start up with opportunities in the city! This is a free workshop, so all local companies and their leaders in the area are encouraged to attend!
At the Alamo EDC, we’re committed to helping our city build an economic environment that helps businesses succeed. Some of the programs that will be presented at the incentives workshop include:
• Small Business Grant Program – A program that grants funds for businesses located in Alamo to help with projects such as repairs, renovations, and equipment purchases.
• Revolving Loan Program – This helps local businesses by contributing loans and uses the repayments and interest to help other local companies.
• Micro-Loan Program – This USDA-Rural Development-assisted program helps local businesses by lending capital resources while maintaining its self-sufficiency.
• Texas Enterprise Fund – This program is a financial incentive for companies thinking of starting in or relocating to Texas.
Alamo is the Place to Be
If you’re wondering why you should do business to Alamo, then the answer is simple. Alamo, Texas is located in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley, a booming metro that spans from Brownsville to Roma, with a population of over 1.3 million.
Plus, Alamo is a portal to international commerce as it’s close to Nuevo Progresso and Tamaulipas, two Mexican states along the U.S. border. But Alamo is also unique in that, while its proximity to these major areas is advantageous, the city still has a small-town feel. Combined with the city’s skilled and bilingual workforce, Alamo has everything your company needs to become successful.
Succeed with the City of Alamo
The Alamo EDC Incentives Workshop is a free event and no RSVP is needed. Plus, lunch will be provided! For more information about the workshop, contact us today.
