In the heart of Alamo is a Texas-style saloon where you’ll find live music, delicious foods, and ice-cold beer! Railyard 83 Icehouse opened in August and has steadily grown to become one of the Valley’s best taverns and beer gardens.
Owner Robert Acosta wanted to open a spot where adults could have a great time while enjoying live music and sports. Speaking about Mr. Acosta, General Manager Art Puentes said, “Mr. Acosta is from Alamo, and he believes in staying local. Alamo is growing and it’s only getting better.”

While many would be wary of opening up a business in Alamo during the pandemic, Railyard 83 took advantage of the opportunity thanks to it offering something many other businesses couldn’t. “We have an outdoor venue that seats over 350 people easily, and we can keep them spread out, so that gives us a big advantage,” Mr. Puentes said.
In less than a year, Railyard 83 has attracted local and state country, rock, and Tejano acts with much more to come! And live boxing matches and comedy shows are in the works.
